2. Our Services
We specialise in the service and repair of late-model German vehicles (2010 onwards), including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Mini, Audi, Porsche, and Volkswagen. Services we provide include:
- Logbook and scheduled servicing
- Diagnostics and fault finding
- Brake system servicing
- Suspension and steering
- Air conditioning service and regassing
- Battery, cooling, and electrical system servicing
We reserve the right to decline any booking or work request at our discretion, including where the vehicle falls outside our area of specialisation or where the work required exceeds our workshop capacity.
3. Bookings and Cancellations
3.1 Making a booking
Bookings can be made by phone, email, or through our online booking form. A booking is confirmed only once we have acknowledged it in writing or by phone. Please provide accurate details about your vehicle and the work required so we can plan correctly.
3.2 Changes and cancellations
We ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a booking. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, or failure to attend a booking without notice, may result in a rebooking fee at our discretion.
3.3 Drop-off and collection
Vehicles should be dropped off and collected within our trading hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. Weekend drop-off or collection is not available unless specifically arranged in advance.
4. Quotes, Authorisation, and Additional Work
4.1 Estimates and quotes
Estimates provided before inspection are based on the information you give us and typical workshop standards. A firm quote is only issued once we have physically inspected the vehicle and diagnosed the issue. Estimates do not constitute a binding price until confirmed.
4.2 Authorisation to carry out work
By leaving your vehicle with us and agreeing to the service required, you authorise our technicians to carry out the work described, to road-test the vehicle where reasonably necessary, and to move the vehicle within our premises and the surrounding area as required.
4.3 Additional work
If, during the course of servicing, we identify further repairs that were not part of the original booking, we will contact you to discuss the issue, provide a revised quote, and seek your approval before proceeding. We will not carry out chargeable additional work without your prior consent, except where it is immediately necessary for safety and we cannot reasonably reach you.
4.4 Declining recommended work
You may decline any recommended work. Where declining a recommendation may affect the safety or roadworthiness of the vehicle, or the effectiveness of other work we perform, we will note this on your invoice and our workshop records.
5. Parts
Where possible and appropriate, we use genuine OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) or manufacturer-approved parts. In some cases, we may offer quality equivalent parts as an alternative. If a specific part type is important to you, please let us know at the time of booking.
Parts availability and lead times are set by suppliers and manufacturers and are outside our control. We will keep you informed of any delays.
6. Pricing and Payment
6.1 Prices and GST
All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST unless otherwise stated. Prices for parts, consumables, and workshop time may change without notice, however any firm quote we have provided to you will be honoured for the period stated on the quote.
6.2 Payment terms
Payment is due in full on completion of the work, before the vehicle is released. We accept payment by EFTPOS, credit card, and bank transfer. Credit card surcharges may apply where imposed by our payment provider.
6.3 Overdue amounts
Where an account is not settled at the time of collection, we reserve the right to retain possession of the vehicle until payment is received in full (see section 7). Overdue amounts may also incur reasonable recovery costs.
7. Retention of Vehicle and Storage Fees
If payment for work carried out is not received in full, we may exercise a lien over the vehicle in accordance with Australian law, meaning we may retain possession of the vehicle until the outstanding amount is paid.
If a vehicle is not collected within seven (7) days of being notified that it is ready, we may charge a reasonable daily storage fee. Vehicles left on our premises for an extended period without communication may be dealt with in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law and Fair Trading Act 2012 (Vic) and any other applicable legislation, including the potential sale of uncollected goods after the required notice period.
8. Warranty on Work and Parts
We stand behind the quality of our workmanship. Subject to fair use and proper maintenance, we warrant our workshop labour for twelve (12) months or 20,000 kilometres from the date of service, whichever occurs first.
Parts are covered by the warranty provided by the parts manufacturer or supplier. We will pass through the benefit of those warranties to you and assist you in making a claim where required.
This warranty does not cover:
- Wear and tear items consumed through normal use
- Damage caused by accident, misuse, neglect, or modifications carried out by any other party
- Faults arising from work we recommended but you declined
- Faults in parts supplied by you rather than sourced by us
Nothing in this warranty limits or excludes any rights or remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law (see section 10).
9. Loan Vehicles
Loan vehicles may be available on request, subject to availability and our loan vehicle terms. If you use a loan vehicle:
- You must hold a current, valid Australian driver's licence and present it before collection
- You agree to operate the vehicle lawfully and in accordance with all road rules
- You are responsible for any fines, tolls, and infringements incurred during the loan period
- You must return the vehicle with the same fuel level it was provided in, in clean condition, and at the agreed return time
- You accept responsibility for any damage caused through your negligence, misuse, or breach of these terms
A separate loan vehicle agreement will be signed at the time of collection, which sets out the full terms of use, insurance excess, and your obligations.
10. Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the services rectified if they are not of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit or exclude any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other consumer protection legislation that cannot be lawfully excluded.
11. Limitation of Liability
Subject to section 10, and to the extent permitted by law:
- Our liability for any claim arising out of, or in connection with, the services we provide or your use of our website is limited to, at our election, resupplying the services or paying the cost of having the services resupplied
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or economic loss, including loss of profits, loss of use, or loss of business opportunity
- We are not responsible for personal items left in the vehicle during servicing. Please remove any valuables before drop-off
- We are not liable for delays caused by factors outside our reasonable control, including parts supply issues, weather events, power outages, or third-party service providers
12. Personal Items and Vehicle Condition
You are responsible for removing any valuables or personal items from the vehicle before handing it to us. While we take reasonable care of vehicles left in our custody, we do not accept liability for loss of or damage to personal items left inside.
We may photograph the exterior and interior of your vehicle on arrival and after service as a record of its condition. These photographs are used only for workshop records and dispute resolution.
